Brief Paperwork
-First Step-
Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your first appointment to fill out your paperwork. This provides us with general information about yourself and your condition. If your case is related to a worker’s compensation or a motor vehicle accident claim please let our front desk staff know in advance.
History and Examination
-Second Step-
The doctor or therapist will ask you a number of questions and will perform an examination to determine the nature of your chief complaint. If additional lab tests (blood work) or special imaging (x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans, MRI) is warranted, a requisition will be provided to you.
Treatment
-Third Step-
Treatment will commence either on the same day as your initial consultation or at your next visit, depending on the complexity of your case. In the best interest of our patients, treatment will not be provided until a thorough history and examination have been completed.
Home Instruction
-Fourth Step-
At the end of your treatment, you will be given various home-care instructions to maximize treatment results. These can include: the use of heat or ice, dietary recommendations, exercise prescription, ergonomics education, and supplement recommendations (herbs, vitamins).
Schedule Your Next Appointment
-Fifth Step-
At the end of your first visit, you will discuss with your doctor or therapist when to come in for your follow-up visit. A recommendation will be made based on the complexity of your case and what your goals are.
